PRESS RELEASE Roundtable “EU-Moldova Association Agreement: steps foreseen”

👉Dur­ing Octo­ber 12–13, 2022 at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty of Moldo­va, the Round­table “EU-Moldo­va Asso­ci­a­tion Agree­ment: steps fore­seen” was held with­in the project Fos­ter­ing Euro­pean Inte­gra­tion of the Repub­lic of Moldo­va with the spe­cif­ic accent on the agri­cul­ture sec­tor nr. 610667-PPE‑1–2019–1‑MDEPPJMO-PROIECT, orga­nized with the sup­port of the EU with­in the Eras­mus+ pro­gram Jean Mon­net action.
📌The final event of the project nr. 61066 brought togeth­er more than 100 par­tic­i­pants from the host coun­try and abroad: teach­ers, experts, stu­dents, stu­dents, grad­u­ates — peo­ple inter­est­ed in the Euro­pean inte­gra­tion process of the Repub­lic of Moldova.
📌Dur­ing the round­table were dis­cussed the EU-Moldo­va Asso­ci­a­tion Agree­ment and its oppor­tu­ni­ty offered by the Euro­pean Neigh­bor­hood Pol­i­cy, also leg­isla­tive changes pro­duced due to the Asso­ci­a­tion Agree­ment in var­i­ous areas (trade rela­tions, agri­cul­ture and rur­al devel­op­ment, food secu­ri­ty, edu­ca­tion, research and inno­va­tion, etc.)
📌The intro­duc­to­ry ses­sion was mod­er­at­ed by the EUAGRO project coor­di­na­tor, Ele­na Simciuc.
The vice-rec­tor of TUM, Daniela Pojar, and Rec­tor of State Agrar­i­an Uni­ver­si­ty of Moldo­va, who were present at the event, not­ed the impor­tance of the efforts for the acces­sion of the Repub­lic of Moldo­va to the EU and, it’s impor­tant sup­port thor­ough dif­fer­ent instru­ments, pro­grammes and projects.
📎The event con­sist­ed of sev­er­al ses­sions dur­ing which mes­sages and research of unde­ni­able impor­tance to sci­en­tists, stu­dents and civ­il soci­ety orga­ni­za­tions were pre­sent­ed. The con­clu­sions and rec­om­men­da­tions of this impor­tant forum will be the sub­ject of future research and projects.
